TeeZilla is an online t-shirt design competition and shop, created by Simpleweb using Rusic. The idea is simple – design a t-shirt, enter it into the competition to receive votes from Facebook and Twitter users.  The design with the most votes each month wins!

To spice things up and raise some money for a chosen charity, TeeZilla is announcing Charity Take Over.  Forming partnerships with various charities over selected months of the year to improve awareness of some of the great causes that are out there.  So, from August there will be some changes in the way things role at TeeZilla.

The first joint venture sees a partnership with the incredible Temwa.  The Bristol-based charity raises funds to implement community-based projects in Malawi. There will be other charities thrown into the mix for future months.

So how is this going to work? Designers enter in the usual way and other users vote through Facebook and Twitter for their favorites.  The overall winner with the most votes in August will get the £200 prize money, but will be given the option of donating the money to the chosen charity.  The winning design will be made into a t-shirt and put up for sale in the TeeZilla shop.

From every sale of the winning t-shirt £6 will go to the charity.  TeeZilla are also going choose another two designs to go into the TeeZilla shop and £6 from every t-shirt sold will go to charity, so that will be three charity t-shirts in the shop all at once.

The partnerships can only mean good things for all involved – www.teezilla.co.uk
