We’re happy to say that Rails Girls Bristol was a success! The day saw 8 coaches introducing around 30 women to Ruby on Rails.
The event was held at @Bristol, running alongside a Raspberry Pi Bootcamp, whose organisers very kindly let us use the space.
We started the day with a brief overview of programming including some CSS and HTML, how a website works and an introduction to Ruby on Rails. We also had a go at TryRuby.org. In the afternoon we got everybody using Ruby on Rails to start building an app.
We had an amazing day and we’ve had some really positive feedback. We want to thank the other sponsors; Coull, the University of Bristol and the Chartered Institute of IT. We couldn’t have done it without you!
