2nd-8th February is Bristol Digital Week 2015, celebrating Bristol’s tech community and exploring exciting new opportunities in digital media.

On Saturday 7th February, Simpleweb will running a couple of workshops teaching young people about coding and showing them how to build their first app with Ruby on Rails. After the success of the recent Rails Girls Bristol events we’ve organised (which aim to encourage women & girls to get into programming) we want to spread the word even further and show young people how awesome coding really is.

The workshops are free and open to young people between the ages of 12-18. As well as the ‘Introduction to Building Web Applications’ and ‘Building Web Applications Using Ruby on Rails’ workshops that we’ll be running, there’s a whole bunch of other cool workshops to help young people learn about tech.

For more information, and free sign up, just visit the Eventbrite page for Digimakers @ Digital Bristol Week here.

If you’re a web developer interested in helping out with this, or other events we run in Bristol, Tweet us on @Simpleweb or email info@simpleweb.co.uk, we’d love to have you on board!
