The role
Our mission is to develop great web and mobile products that make use of blockchain technology that normal people actually understand and want to use. You will play an important role in helping us to do this.
Your daily responsibilities will include standups and engineering workshops with relevant teams, technical planning and documentation, mentoring and supporting other developers, peer reviewing code and development activities yourself.
Initially, we would anticipate a 40/60 split between technical lead activities and hands-on development but would expect this ratio to move more towards technical lead activities as the team grows.
Currently, the technical team stands at 5 developers but we are growing rapidly.
As a developer looking to move into blockchain, we would expect you to have a keen interest in the technology and its potential disruptive capabilities.
Although we don’t expect you to have pre-existing experience in blockchain necessarily, we are looking for people that have a good working knowledge of how a blockchain works and a working understanding of cryptography.
Any hands-on experience developing with a blockchain will be advantageous.
About you
We’re looking for an experienced developer with significant experience in building web and mobile-based products. It’s likely your development experience pre-dates the first web browsers!
- Minimum of 10 years commercial experience as a developer
- Good communication skills and someone that enjoys working in a team.
- A strong desire to push yourself and pick up new skills quickly
- A computer science or maths related degree would be advantageous but not essential
