We’re looking for one front-end and one back-end developer. Ideally conscientious, open-minded and keen to join a team of coders, creatives and entrepreneurs at Simpleweb Studio One.

Whilst we’re looking for someone with good technical know-how, this role is very much open to developers who have less experience but are highly-motivated (perhaps self-taught), who love to hack at their own projects and are keen and excited to learn fast and problem-solve on the job.

For front-end applicants, experience or interest in UX and design is a big plus. For back-end applicants, knowing the ropes in at least one object-oriented language such as Ruby, PHP, or Java will give your CV the big green tick.

We work with some brilliant startups, working on projects with real purpose – including OLIO, the app that’s tackling global food waste – and we only ever work with corporate businesses when our values truly align. For you this will mean working with some talented and passionate people – and influencing both the design and function of products that have huge positive potential for both people and planet. You can have a look at some of the other projects we’ve worked on by checking out our blog.

We love nothing more than to nurture talent and respect that different brains work in different ways. That said, you’ll regularly find us experimenting with new ways of doing things and our ears will always prick up at your ideas, big or small.

We also think it’s extremely important to not remain insular with our skills and knowledge too, so regularly provide opportunities for the team to branch out and use their talents to support and inspire the wider tech community, particularly young people.

You’ll find that the team has some wide-ranging personal interests too so, when we’re not geeking out about tech and design, we’re never short of mind-expanding topics to mull over. We like to think this stimulates some of our most wacky and wonderful ideas, both in the office and out. Come and be a part of it all!
