It’s been a busy year at Simpleweb and we’re happy to announce that the team has grown again! Here’s welcoming Mark, Tom and Darcey to the team…
Mark – Business & Product Strategist
Mark has spent the past 13 years running various product marketing, product development and business analysis teams at the mobile operator – Orange. He has worked to bring a new mobile and Internet of Things (IoT) operating system to market and has worked with some of the biggest global technology companies (Samsung, Intel, NTT Docomo).
Before working at Orange, Mark was a strategy consultant with ICL / Fujitsu and before that, was part of a small 4 person team that started a gas company competing with British Gas.
In his spare time, Mark says he’s professional taxi driver for his 3 sons who play a variety of sports. His youngest son plays for Bristol City academy and hopes to be a professional footballer one day, while his twin boys of 13 play hockey and cricket.
Tom – Product Manager
Tom previously worked as Labs Producer at 383 where he worked with BBC, Polar & Hammerson exploring new products and services. In 2012, he founded Canvas Conf a digital product conference in Birmingham featuring speakers from Spotify, GDS, The Guardian and Google. Most recently Tom worked as a Creative Technologist with National Theatre Wales, working on The Space prize winning production of Bordergame.
Tom lives in Bristol, likes craft beer and hipster burgers and has a cat called Gus.
Darcey – Designer
Darcey is a designer specialising in application and website design with a direct focus on user engagement. Darcey’s design skills took him international from the young age of 19, after previously working for trivago.com based in Dusseldorf. He has a keen interest, motivation and passion for startups, specifically in Berlin and Bristol, and was a participant in the newly formed web incubator Webstart Bristol based in the Engine Shed in early 2014.
