We’re excited to announce that Simpleweb has recently teamed up with SourceCards – a startup creating innovative new solutions to support the vulnerable in society.
We’re currently working on the SourceCards payment system, a new method for allocating money for food, energy, shelter, travel and other essentials to those who need support.
Through SourceCards, charities, local authorities and communities can support those in need with everyday essentials. The cards aim to give more freedom to those who need help and more confidence to donors that they can make a real difference, without waste.
SourceCards was founded by John Price, who previously founded a financial information company which he sold to Markit, the financial information services company, which went public in 2014.
SourceCards will initially be used by the Debs Price Foundation, a charity set up by John in tribute to his late wife Debs who he lost to cancer in 2013. All donations to the Debs Price Foundation will be given directly to people in need and can only be used to buy essentials.
