Tom and I are so looking forward to moving into our new office that we’ve been acting like kids (that’s you too Les). Our current place in Clifton has served us well, but it’s just too small now.

We’re into the top floor of a small warehouse in Bristol Marina, next door to the SS Great Britain and just behind the new Aardman building.

When we first went to see it we all fell in love it with it, as it fitted our budget and personalities. It looked like this:

Three months ago, things had started to take shape, with the stud walls going in and all of the old industrial “junk” removed. I say junk as I really wanted to keep some of it, especially the crane. I love cranes…

The pictures below show where things were six weeks ago. Three private booths for quiet time and a secure server room were a requirement set by Tom, I think it’s a little “cell” like, but they will definitely be used – a lot…

We should be moving in at the beginning of March, we don’t have any furniture yet but most importantly though, we have a pool table… Wooohoo.

We’re keeping the warehouse feel to the place, the beams, piping, ceiling, are all staying exactly as they are, not even a lick of paint. The radiators and fittings will be as near to the originals as possible. The only things that have changed are the windows, which are now double glazed PVC, which while uglier are much more practical. I’m really looking forward to getting the graf guys in too…

Roll on March.
