We’ve been named one of Red Herring’s Top 100 companies in Europe, and very pleased we are too. Red Herring is one of the oldest tech awards around, and the quality of the startups involved was unquestionable; being in such great company is an honour.

While Simpleweb is not technically a startup, our contribution as a “new kind of incubator” was recognised by Alex Vieux, Red Herring CEO; with Simpleweb being the first incubator to get into the top 100 in 15 years.

The quality of startups at the European Top 100 event in Amsterdam was incredible and we are proud to be in such amazing company. We were blown away by a lot of the pitches – shout outs to a couple of favourites (who we highly recommend checking out):

  • xbird – a medical AI company using data from smartphones and wearables to detect critical health events before they occur.
  • SearchInk which uses machine intelligence to extract and semantically connect relevant data, essentially replacing the need for manual data entry.

The Amsterdam event was a well attended low key affair with a definite bias towards scale up companies. If you are an early stage startup thinking of entering, this is probably not the award for you.

Thanks Amsterdam for being such a beautiful and stylish city, thanks to Red Herring for hosting us, and most of all thanks to our team for working so hard to make our clients successful. ☺️
