We’re pleased to announce that workhappy is the newest startup to join our awesome community of investees.

workhappy is a brand new platform that’s changing the way companies think about employee engagement by empowering individuals to take ownership of their own career progression, productivity and wellbeing.

workhappy‘s founder Anna Cleland (pictured left) tells us: “We are developing a product which increases happiness and engagement in the workplace to levels never experienced before. We’ve been working hard on it for over a year and have reached the point where we are comfortable opening up the development to a trusted partner who will help us deliver this to market.

“After some careful consideration, Simpleweb felt like the right fit. With years of experience working successfully with startups – in particular startup tech brands – we knew that they would have the expertise and know-how that we needed to help us to deliver our mission.”

Real engagement

Anna, who has worked for over 20 years in employee engagement, started workhappy after experiencing how good engagement transforms businesses and people and how bad engagement sees money repeatedly wasted by big organisations on huge yearly surveys that fail to amount to any real change for the company or its staff.

The development of workhappy, alongside our tech and design team at Simpleweb, will create the ultimate platform that gives employees the tools and coaching to make the changes they seek in their jobs, through a number of engaging and refreshing new mechanisms.

Anna adds: “As with any startup, we are at the stage of spinning lots of (interesting!) plates. We are just finishing our first round of beta testing with several groups of users and will use these precious insights to feed into our development with Simpleweb.

“We are also doing the final rounds to close off our investment portfolio and are busy working to finalise content to feed into the brilliant coaching tools which will be available through workhappy. The next few months are destined to be very exciting indeed.”
