We are excited to announce Simpleweb’s partnership with Kinderly – an early years learning and development startup that aims to give children the best start in life.

Kinderly was founded by molecular biologist Geraint Barton, who left his career in genetic data analysis to create a product that would better connect him, and parents like him, with their nursery aged children.

The inspiration for Kinderly dawned when Geraint realised that the staff at his children’s nursery were struggling to keep parents up to date on their children’s development. While childcare practitioners are required by OFSTED to keep records on each child’s development, there is often not enough time at the end of the day to update parents on progress. Geraint also noticed that childcare practitioners were keeping paper files on each child, and each file was incredibly time consuming to keep updated and vulnerable to damage or loss.

Kinderly allows childcare practitioners to create a secure digital timeline on the children’s development and learning journey, which can be shared with parents to encourage them to play an active role in their child’s early years education in partnership with the childcarer.

Simpleweb has teamed up with Kinderly to scale up their existing MVP, adding new features and making the experience the best on the market for both childcare practitioners and parents.

“We’re getting to the stage where were are having to scale up now” says Geraint, “and this is where we think Simpleweb have got a lot of experience. Looking at the other projects you’ve been involved in, and some really nice applications that you’ve developed, I can see that you’re quite consciously thinking about the user experience and the user journey.”

We’ll keep you updated on Kinderly’s progress here, or visit kinderly.co.uk to check out the current MVP.
