Datemakers, which has been running its unique experience platform for two in Bristol for the past year, has expanded to Brighton just in time for Valentine’s Day.

“It’s a soft launch but of course we’re going to shout loudly”, says Datemakers co-founder Matt.

“We’ve got a few sneaky stunts lined up to help spread the Datemakers love too. It’s top secret at the moment but all will be revealed soon!”

Tea for two

Peaking the interests of Bristol’s romantics, Datemakers already offers a wide range of over 60 dates and adventures, including everything from saxophone lessons to an alpaca experience day.

But the move to Brighton will open up even more exciting dates for twosomes to get involved in. As mentioned in the Datemakers blog, Brighton is often seen jostling with Bristol for the prestige of being the UK’s coolest city and, as they say: “The distinctly laid back vibe, the opportunity to eat fish and chips on the beach every day and the seemingly never-ending list of restaurants and bars couldn’t be more up our street”

The Brighton line-up already includes Acroyoga (pictured above), a drumming workshop right on the beach, a home brew barista workshop, a bicycle tour of Brighton and more.

So if you fancy a romantic break or a weekend away with a friend this Valentine’s Day, heading to Brighton for a Datemakers experience may be just the ticket.

Two years on

At Simpleweb we’re really pleased for how well Datemakers’ founders Matt and Joe have been growing the business since they joined our community of startup investees in 2018 and we’re excited to see them continue to succeed and expand over the next year.

Matt adds: “It’s been much easier to get set up this time round, now we’ve done one city. We’ve been in Bristol for what feels like a long time so it’s been really nice to go and share our ideas in Brighton. It’s really exciting.”
