Every month we raise money for charity by donating £1 every time we eat a slice of homemade cake made by a member of the Simpleweb team.

Last month we raised £160.16  for Julian House, who offer direct support to some of the most marginalised people in society – the homeless.

In February we’ll be raising money for Womankind, a local charity that provides women in the Bristol area with free or affordable professional counselling, psychotherapy and on-going support. Their aim is to help improve their mental health and well being and achieve this by providing confidential and specialist services to women.

Womankind was chosen by one of our developers Ollie who chose them because, “they do excellent work supporting women on low incomes with problems including mental health issues, sexual abuse and domestic violence. Considering the rising levels of anxiety and depression in young women especially, and the threats posed to women’s rights across the world, this feels like a timely and important charity to support.”

If you find yourself at Simpleweb HQ in the next month, grab some cake and get involved.
