We’re pleased to announce our first blockchain workshop on the 27th March at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Bristol, delivering to some of the South West and Wales’ most exciting fast-growth companies that make up its recently launched scale-up programme – Scale South West.

In collaboration with Business West, which supports start-up businesses in the West of England, and tech hub Engine Shed, Scale South West links its scale-up cohort with market leaders and industry experts, creating opportunities to further their growth and expansion whilst building Bristol’s esteemed reputation as a leading tech, creative and media hub.

As well as great networking opportunities and access to thought-leaders and investors, an important part of the programme’s curriculum includes events from external experts – which is where we come in.

We’ll be delivering a back-to-basics blockchain workshop to the 12 scale-ups, which include Zeetta Networks – a NetOS software for network management designed to dramatically improve efficiency and performance, and Landmrk – a location-based digital content discovery platform. Delivering an honest, simple, interactive and practical workshop, the scale-ups will come away with an insight into blockchain technology, what it can and can’t do, and how it may be applicable to their own operations.

Sofia Deambrosi PwC’s South West programme-lead says: “We are very pleased to have the team at Simpleweb Studio Block support the Scale South West programme by delivering a workshop to our group of companies. Blockchain technology is going to disrupt business models in the medium-to-long-term and it is important that all organisations are preparing themselves and embracing the change. Simpleweb Studio Block is a pioneer in the region and its collaboration with PwC Scale reflects our aligned objectives to support early-stage companies.”
