We’re thrilled to announce our latest investment – Foozie – the online guide for all things foodie and boozy in your city.

Foozie was founded by Thom Whitchurch as a means of listing Bristol’s best hard-to-find, one-off events. Having previously worked at Yelp, Food and Drink Guides and put on a number of his own club nights, Thom had a good idea of where to find interesting events, and had a decent formula for putting on his own.

As a listings site, Foozie took off almost overnight, and soon started to host their own events including prosecco and gin open-top bus tours and a retro crisps buffet, which was picked up by national media including the Metro, the Sun, the Mirror, Cosmopolitan and Unilad.

“Having met with the Simpleweb team a number of times over the last couple of months, I am really excited to be working with them to develop the Foozie brand further” says Foozie founder Thom Whitchurch. “Simpleweb has an excellent portfolio and success record. 2017 has been a great year for Foozie so far and this partnership is definitely a highlight.”

We’ll be working with Foozie to scale up the business and prepare them for their next round of funding.
