Ordoo collection point at Love Saves the Day festival

It’s been a busy few months for Ordoo, a startup with an app for pre-ordering and paying in cafes and coffee shops.

Back in April, Ordoo raised a round of SEIS funding with four angel investors. This follows an initial investment from local angel, Nick Robinson, and Simpleweb back in March 2015.

Simpleweb are proud to announce that we have invested further in Ordoo, with our MD, Mark, joining the board.

The recent investment has enabled Ordoo to begin building out a team, focusing on hiring for growth. With a business development manager, a growth nurturer, and a business analyst, Ordoo now has 3 full-time employees, as well as founder Tom.

Earlier this summer, Ordoo made their app available for Bristol music festival Love Saves the Day so festival goers could skip queues by pre-ordering and paying for drinks and picking them up at the bar. Nearly 3,000 orders were taken on the day valued at over £30,000.

‘Since launching in Bristol a few months ago, it’s been a whirlwind of activity at Ordoo. We’ve been involved with loads of exciting events and really engaged with new users of the app. We hope that more and more people start to use the app and save time ordering the amazing food and drink at our partner venues. Everything is moving very quickly and the team are working flat out to continually improve the Ordoo experience.’

Ordoo is currently available in 16 cafes and restaurants in Bath and 17 more in Bristol.
