On 4th July, Bristol will be coming together for ‘Independents Day’, celebrating the city’s fantastic independent businesses.

Ordoo – an app allowing customers to pre-order and pay for food and drinks from their favourite cafes – will be hosting a picnic in Bristol’s Castle Park to celebrate, offering free coffee and lunch to everyone who joins in!

“Amongst the plentiful supply of picnic gear and matts will be a series of fun and games (supported by indie music) to keep you busy over lunch” says Ordoo founder Tom Dewhurst. “Local performers and entertainers are coming along to join the party as well. Just look out for the Ordoo picnic basket and flags and say hello. The GIANT picnic basket will be filled with some independently made cakes, local goodies and sweet-tooth delights. Just incase you needed a bit more persuasion to come along!”

If you want to get involved, download Ordoo now on the App Store or Google Play.

On July 4th, you’ll be able to enter the following coupon codes when you place an order on the app:

£3 off coffee = ‘independentsdaycoffee’
£5 off lunch = ‘independentsdaylunch’

Simply make your order and set your pickup times in advance and pick it up when you get a push notification telling you it’s ready!

No such thing as a free lunch? There is now.

Partners include: Ironworks, Blu-Fire Smoke ‘n’ Grill, Tuk Tuck, Ickle, Playground, Off Centre Cafe, Barista Coffee Collective, Blue Pig, Beatroot Cafe and more.
